Eleri Pound is a composer and harpist currently based in Leeds. She moved to Leeds from Cardiff in 2001 to study for a BSc in Music with Mathematics, followed by a PhD in Composition with Dr Mic Spencer and Dr Kia Ng, exploring the use of numbers in compositional structures and the creation of a microtonal triple harp. Eleri now works in the University of Leeds in research administration while also continuing to compose, teach and play the harp.

Eleri’s paper ‘Chaos as compositional order’ has recently been published in Chaos Theory: Modeling, Simulation and Applications.

Eleri has been awarded a Leverhulme Artist in Residence award, and is currently the artist in residence at the School of Mathematics at the University of Leeds.
